What you put on your body is just as important as what you put in it. That’s why I love Lush Fresh Handmade Cosmetics. Their line of products ranges from bubble bars to perfume and shampoo to body lotion. They also sell hair dye and cosmetics. Lush items are natural, they don’t believe in animal testing, and many of their products are vegan (all are 100% vegetarian). AKA you can practically eat many of the things they sell – you probably shouldn’t, but the sugar lip scrubs can be pretty tempting.
While it is easy to spend well over $80 on one trip to the store or online shop, it’s very worth it. I try to find every opportunity for a good deal, but when it comes to your health, I think it’s okay to splurge a bit. At Lush you know and can actually pronounce the ingredients, you even know who packages them and what date to use them by. How awesome is that? There are so many rules on when to throw out mascara or replace your foundation, but when you buy these products, that information is provided for you.
Another win is the rule with the black pots. Once you accumulate five of them, you can return them to the store (cleaned out, of course) and get a fresh face mask for free! Those are particularly awesome and can only be purchased at the store because they are made with the freshest ingredients and must be refrigerated. Catastrophe Cosmetic, one of my favorites, is made with whole, fresh blueberries and works to soothe and calm skin sensitive skin.
Your skin will definitely love the snacks from Lush and will thank you by looking more radiant and healthy than ever. I can’t tell you how many people have commented on my clear skin (thanks to Fresh Pharmacy and Ocean Salt Scrub, which contains actual vodka and avocado). Seriously, Lush has been one of the biggest blessings in my life. So go ahead and get your skin some healthy snacks. #freshmatters
