Cupcakes are fun. For me, it’s not about the actual cake, but the toppings. I want them to be pretty and appealing to both the eye and the stomach. It’s my favorite type of art: edible. Don’t get me wrong, the cake is key, but the fun part comes after the oven.
I really like experimenting with different designs and frostings, but hate “wasting” a whole batch of 24 cupcakes just to play around. And most of them do go to waste because, seriously, how many cupcakes can you eat in a few days? Wait. Don’t answer that.
