I started this blog in 2015 as a fun way to share health and fitness tips and easy recipes with friends and family. When I look back at my first few posts, I cringe at the shoddy photos and poor edits. They were humble beginnings for sure.
Over the last four years, Diary of a Snacker has blossomed into something more than I could have ever imagined. I’ve had the opportunity to partner with over 25 amazing companies to guest blog, review products, and create recipes. It’s honestly been a whirlwind of both wonderful and stressful emotions.
Yes, you read that right – stressful. I’ve thought about throwing in the towel so many times. I’ve had writer’s block when deadlines loomed in the very near future. I’ve run out of things to talk about countless times. There’s been so much self-doubt and impostor syndrome. I mean, I’m just a girl with a full-time job still learning how to adult. Who am I to tell you how to meal prep or find the balance in your crazy day? What could I possibly offer to anyone? I don’t have any awesome credentials after my name.
But I realized that this – this blog, this mission to help others find their way – gives me so much joy. Because writing is my passion. And so is helping people. Maybe I wasn’t cut out to be a nurse or a lawyer or a teacher, but I can definitely use my own experiences to help others make the most out of their lives and time. And, that’s something. Plus, I really am a kick-ass meal prepper!
